Splish Splash Cenote Fun

Our private (our tours are always private) tour to the region around Homun and Cuzamá will take you to some great local cenotes! This tour is for those who don’t necessarily need to be with a ton of other cruisers which is more or less what will happen at Santa Barbara (our other tour for those wanting a little more familiarity in their tour options) You will experience a cenote day with 2-3 cenotes that we consider perfect for you and your group. From small to gigantic and also featuring some delicious local food, this tour is perfect for the more adventurous folks who want to get a little more local flavor!

From Progreso, it’s a 90 minute drive to the town of Homun where you will visit these natural wonders, unique to the Yucatan peninsula.

There will be plenty of time for swimming and enjoying these natural wonders with their crystal clear blue water. 

 On the way, there are villages and towns to see including the Hitchcock style church in Ek Nakan and the Mayan pyramid right in the middle of town, in Acanceh. Both are on the road to the cenotes and you will have time to photograph or perhaps visit both. 

Due to the popularity of the cenotes, for cruisers it is important to note that during Easter Break or July and August summer holidays there is a lot of Mexican tourism and so lineups and crowds at cenotes is not unusual.
