Diego is our go-to guide at Chichen Itzá. He commutes between Chichen Itzá and Merida almost every day, and now that all the archeological sites are closed to the public, as well as no other touristy things happening in the Yucatan, he has a lot of time on his hands.
He is using this enforced and involuntary downtime to spend some time with the family and reaffirm his knowledge of Yucatan’s history.
April 28 - UPDATE: he is now helping with the laundry. And spending more time with the family. See new videos below.
What better way to spend some time reading than in his hammock; here reading the great Incidents of Travel in Yucatan by John L Stephens. This book is highly recommended and written like a novel, not at all dry.
