Luis is the smiling guy in the crisp white guayabera shirt you see when you approach the parking lot at Uxmal. He is a host at the hotel The Lodge at Uxmal and is always ready to help visitors by answering questions in Spanish, Mayan or flawless California English. Of course he would also like you to stop at the restaurant there after your visit to the archeological site, but he is never pushy about it. Part of his job description includes arranging vintage Land Rover tours in the area, organizing cooking classes and planning special events at the Mayaland hotels.
